Ok so I’m super new to these gorgeous birds. I wondered how long they sleep for each day. My bird is a baby and is asleep with her head under her wing. When she sleeps I won’t handle her as I’m guessing being young she needs her rest. If anyone could advise that would be great. Thank you

Congratulations on your new addition and welcome.

I was wondering the same as we just brought our new friend home today hand he has two naps already.

They are so sweet aren’t they. Mine has her head tucked under her wing. So adorable!

Well, I'm an admitted worrier, so I'll add this.

Could be baby-sleeps, could be illness.

If you decide to get a professional opinion...

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.
International contacts, too.
Or... sometimes I find a place to start just by Googling "avian veterinarian near ((your location))"
