Hi, I'm new to the forum and I need help with my lovebird Emerald:green1:. I got her when she was starting to eat solid foods (she was hand raised) and she is now 3 years old. She was very cudly and playful until about 2 months ago. She started to become more reserved and quiet, so I figured she was just lonely because I've been studying more often. so I got her a friend, I named him Mango:orange:. Mango is a wild lovebird that I got from a pet shop aviary and is very skittish around people(especially there hands).
The two of them are getting along very nicely but Emerald is beginning to become skittish and scared of my hands. They have only been together for 3 days and her behavior is becoming very different.
What can I do to maintain the playful and cudly Emerald that she used to be?

One of the common issues with a second Parrot and your reduced available time is that they find each other and no longer need you...

Start from step one, day one and reintroduce yourself!!!
Remember that Parrots have no natural reason to trust Humans and that Humans must work every day at providing them a reason to Trust you!
Remember that only good things happen when Humans are around!

If you spend the time, you can win them both over to first trusting you...
