Is it a good idea to add a baby budgie to my cage with my baby lovie? I know it says the peach faces shouldn’t live with other birds but can’t find anything about Fischer’s. Thanks

I would have to say no. If you get a budgie he would be much safer caged separately. As my bird vet often says, budgies are like that pesky little brother who pesters and pesters and doesn’t know when to quit, and this may make your lovebird lose it’s temper, lashing out and injuring your budgie. Even my tiny lorikeet (smaller than my budgie!) has landed our Val at the vet with a superficial eye injury, and it could’ve been a whole lot worse!

Excellent advice thank you so much. My daughter has fallen in love with my lovebird and So I was hill thinking of getting her own bird and I know budgies are ideal first time birds. I can get a separate cage though so that’s ok.
