Re: Food Bill

I spend about $60 on food when I got Bob and have not run out, the pellets are about half gone. Then it is about $2 a week on veggies, though at present that tends to get thrown out.

Re: Food Bill

A $15 bag of Zupreem last me for months...aside from that, considering we have 2 little boys, it is tough to say what we spend for fruit & veg, since he eats what we eat.

I never buy "Bird Specific" food (aside from his pellets), I actually thing we threw away more fruit and veg before we had him. Between the bird, a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old boy. Fruit and Veg doesn't stand a chance around here for very long!!!

Re: Food Bill

It's insane what some of you are paying! I can feed 7 birds for $110 a year. I simply order bulk online and have been keeping it in storage units. Before that I was spending ridiculous amounts.

Re: Food Bill

Pellets are about 30 bucks every 2 months and then whatever fruits and veggies we have here they get. They eat what we eat. In the winter months they get more frozen then fresh, but then again so do we.

Have you thought about buying pellet in bulk? Your spending 180 on pellet, but a 35 pound bag online is only $75.00 and the ground shipping is only $5.00.
