American Bulldog Mix,
Brought home Erin! I am so excited. Last week she was nippy and flew away. Today she is standing on our hands and shoulders. Drove 4 hours with her switching between my husbands and mine shoulder. Such a big change. She nips a little in the cage. It a gentle no is all she needs. Put her Aviator suit on and she didn't host a single fuss (until we took it off but that was a 3 second fight). I couldn't have expected a bigger change or surprise! She is the perfect bird!

Lol! Good for you!

I thought she might come out in the car for you. It was probably a great time for you and your hubby to start bonding with her.

She is great. The only problem we have is getting her out of the cage-she will come out by herself, but not with us :(

Aww she's adorable! Is that a corner cage? I have one, it's a PITA to clean sometimes, but its soo big :D

My conure has to come out on her own as well, but she's cage territorial. It works fine though, I just open the door and she pops down right away and hangs on the side for me to offer my finger.

Oh, and I want to say thanks for the pics, she is gorgeous!

Yep it's a corner cage. i like it, i had a smaller one before for my Goffin, and the only thing I hate is that the tray is in the back, so I have to turn the whole cage around, plus dealing with folding the newspaper. Ours' has a built in Playtop on top too, but the manufacturer didn't drill the pre drilled holes in the right spot, so it doesn't work :(

I don't mind letting her come out by herself, so as long as she doesn't get on top of the cage, but i heard letting them do that is bad because of the whole territorial/dominance issue.

Mine doesn't have the playtop, so its easily 1 1/2 feet taller then me. if Safira ever got on it I would never be able to get her down, LOL! I'd need a ladder.

Sometimes I let Safira come out on her own and stand on the door, but now she thinks she can do that whenever I open the cage door so I try not to let her. My sister lets her out that way though since she isn't comfortable reaching into the cage. I dread the day when she txts me that the bird got out of reach and she can't get her down. :D

Our cage with our the play top is about the same height as your and we need a stick to get her down! Some times she steps right up on the stick and other times she flees thee stick!
