Congratulations on your baby. I sure do hope you are handfeeding and make sure it is not Kaytee formula.
Macaws usually wean at around 5-6 months old, so your baby is nowhere near being weaned.

Yes, I got him from the same breeder from whom I got my other two B&G's from. I know how to hand feed. I just wanted to know from other people what range the weight was on an 8 week old. My baby is larger than other babys at 8 weeks...he's going to be a big guy!

Thank you..I am using Kaytee Exact High fat formula..I know of the recall on it, but the batch numbers I have on my bags are not the recall numbers. My breeder said it was fine, he uses the same formula on all his babys this season. Yes, Macaws wean around 4 months until 6 months, sometimes even longer depending.
