Macaw tramatized by women?

Hello all, my aunt who owns a Blue and gold macaw grabbed at and was really rough with my baby Yellow collar Andrew and ever since andrew has been terrified of women does anyone know any ideas to make his fear of women more relaxed?

Bring in lots of woman he doesmt know and have them just stand across the room from him ignoring him. When he's comfortable with them at a distance have them walk very slowly and calmly to him. As he gets ok with them at a closer distance get them to offer him his favourite treat. Never push him more than he is comfortable. Eventually he will learn to associate woman as calm treat giving things and that should help with the fear. And do this process over a long time and one woman at a time. Only do more when he is comfortable with it

The bird needs time to recover. All interactions with women should be positive from now on. Go slow, treat often with a extra good treat
