Hi From Colorado

Well as i brows through the forums, it doesnt looks like this is the only "Merlin The Macaw" running around out there lol. As you can see he is a harlequin and only 4 months young at the moment, around 3 in these pics, and No, he does not live in the dog crate lol. Personaly I have mix feeling about hybrids, but you all know how it goes, the bird picks the owner lol. Enjoy, looking forward to chatting with everyone. Is there any other big bird colorado owners on the boards?

Re: Hi From Colorado

I recently adopted an 11 year old Harlequin. I too have mixed feelings about hybrids. But if they're out there they need homes too. Good luck with him. Post more pix as he gets older.

Re: Hi From Colorado

Welcome to the forum. Merlin is beautiful!

I have 2 Catalina hybrids. Mine look like your Merlin in color, but mine are B&G/Scarlet cross. I wasn't looking for hybrids when I found them. I was looking for a Green Wing in my state. I too fell in love with my Roscoe's baby face & that was it for me!

I would never breed for hybrids, but I don't breed any of my critters. I do believe like several others that since someone else chose to create my boys, they deserve to be loved and given a good home. I have no plans on getting any more, but I am getting a green wing next year!
