hello guys, i rescued a blue and gold she is 8 yrs old and she is adapting incredibly well and is tame.
i have one question that i cant get the answer to.
when i play with my macaw she will grab my finger with her beak and clamp down on my finger but not too hard and she will jerk her head forward and back into her body....
she is 8yrs old and she never bites me or acts bad. does this mean she wants me to feed her??? is it a love body language???

That's actually mating behavior. The back and forth (or pumping) motion is what they do to regurgitate in order to feed their mates. It means she really likes you ;). Don't worry, most Macaws do it from time to time for their human care givers.

Darcy does that a lot. It is a sign of affection. :)
