Very nice pictures, Heather. Keiko's beak and nails really don't look bad in the first photo. I ABSOLUTELY would NOT even consider having her anesthetized to have any work done on them!

His beak looks fine to me! Have you gotten him a concrete perch yet to file his beak?

I got the stand online i originally got it for parker...i'm trying to wait till april there is a bird show coming and I want to see if I can get a good deal on a real playstand for her...also she is very heavy compared to Parker my zon so having a stand that I can take with me is nice so i can sit her down when my arms get tired

the vet said her beak is about a 1/4 inch too long and her nails don't break the skin but you should see the marks they leave on my arms...I get funny looks from my coworkers...lol

She looks so good, great photos. I really like the tripod idea. Seems like a great portable stand.

I understand. But again, I personally would not subject her to anesthetization for a beak and nail trim. While the potential that she wouldn't revive is slim, it still exists. Once you get her trimmed you may want to get her a pedicure perch to help keep her hooks & points reasonable.

Keiko certainly looks beautiful in your photos :)

I have decided to switch vets and go with one that will do the trim while she is awake...i have checked online and all the bird reviews for him are very good... i'm gonna wait a few more weeks and let her settle in some more first

How did I miss this all day??

Heather, Keiko looks AWESOME! What a beautiful B & G. :D You must be so head-over-heels. ;)

I'm also happy to hear you found an avian vet who won't put her under for "easy" maintenance. :)

Keep those pics coming, we all love 'em. :D
