New MacMansion for Ripley

Ripley's new mansion arrived Monday, and yesterday I took advantage of my son's day off and we put it together.

I am REALLY pleased with it, and so is Ripley.

While the big boys were out, I snapped a few pictures.

WOW Wendy, That is quite the cage How long did it take you to put it together? Ripley is sure going to be a happy bird. Now if my thinking is correct it means you have an empty cage

. Any plans for an addition?

Thanks Tab. He IS in heaven....the only thing that tickles him more than his new cage is to be on the Java trees, which is almost all day long, LOL.

Putting that one together, furnishing it, and disassembling the other one took us 3 hours. BUT, we didn't rush things, and took breaks in between.

The "old" cage was already delivered to my GF. She will put her Blue Throated Macaw in there.

NO more fids for me...I've definitely reached my limit. :54:

I got it from Bird Paradise. I had a 30% off coupon, so it knocked down the price quite a bit.

Congrats! I'm sure he will enjoy his massive bedroom. I also like that its black. I am not very fond of the white one we have.

Wow...what a house! Ripley could get a roommate if he wanted to. LOL. I understand about "bird limit" Three is my limit so I commend you for having 4 parrots.

Both your parrots look so happy and healthy are they getting along better during out of cage playtime?

Julio's cage will be moved downstairs next to Valentino's at the end of the month. That gives me a solid 2 months of quarantine. I should be getting Julio's labs back within the next two weeks. Dr. Blair said he presented very healthy with no physical concerns (except for the plucking but even his skin is very healthy) so I think his labs will come back fine.

It took Lupe and I about an hour to set up Julio's cage but several days to decide where to put stuff. LOL. I kept rearranging it. Ripley's cage is HUGE. That is diffidently a two person job to set up.

Rebecca, Niko & Ripley get along GREAT now! No more squabbling, they actually play nice together.

I bet you and Lupe can't wait to bring Julio downstairs, and I can't wait to hear of Valentino's and Julio's reaction when they first see each other.

GREAT news that the vet found him to be so healthy looking, and I'm confident his lab tests will all pan out well, too.

No, I do keep staring at it. He FINALLY has enough room to play around without constantly knocking his tail feathers into things. The other cage wasn't small by any means (46X30), but those extra inches make a HUGE difference.

Harlows cage is just like that

I love cages that make Macaws look small.I can fit inside too.

I could literally see Ripley smiling when I put him in for the first time.

....he's been even more animated ever since we upgraded to that cage.
