new toy gone wrong!!

Well, I have seen people put cash register tape in cages as a toy for the birds to play with and pull on......well, mine didn't go so well. First time I tried this....and I must have done something wrong! I walk away for about 2 minutes then hear a bunch of racket in Razzle's cage....one pull on the tape and it spun completely off the roll!! The bird was going crazy, and by the time I got there I had about 2 feet of register tape at the bottom of his cage!! It freaked him out for a few minutes.....
Oh well, I will try something else... ;)

and I mean about 2 ft deep!! Must have been about 100yards of register tape!!

I ve never heard of using that as a toy before. Interesting. Not sure if I should try it though after this lol. :)

Lol! I have a toy I bought that holds the roll of paper. Quincy nibbled on the edges but never pulled it out. He got bored with it quick. Maybe had it done this he would like it better! :D

My guys have a roll setup & the patty will play with it every once in a while.....the key is to restrict the roll off, so it doesn't freewheel off in one pull.....post a couple of pics of how you've got it mounted & we might be able to offer suggestions.....

yes...sorta like that wendy...but a LOT worse! No kidding...it was a couple feet deep in his cage of register paper! It was a really big roll that just kept no rolling.....;)
