Coming Out Of Her Shell

As of September 16th Savannah will have been with us for 5 months now. I really don't think she was ever allowed to explore her environment outside of her cage. So it's a whole new world for our 20 year old sweet girl! I am finding that she is coming out of her shell more and more everyday. She doesn't normally like being on the floor but the other day she walked down my leg from the couch, onto the floor and toward my daughter Morgan to go see her. She loves Morgan. She is also starting to walk across the couch a little further from me. She tends to stick real close to mom. :th_wink:

Well earlier this week she decided it was time to check out the dining room table and read my catalog with me. I think she was picking out the bag she wanted! LOL! :th_biggrin:

It's so nice to see her confidence grow with each passing day!

Thanks Wendy! It is such a joy to watch her bloom! She picked out a nice bag for her toys & food.

Well I don't know the exact days yet. Still waiting for them to choose a date. But I'm hoping to have Coqui in a little over a month!!

The Linnies should be coming home in about a week and a half!

Blanca, I'm so happy for you and Savanna. Your going to have parrot races if savanna and Coqui get on the floor together!!
Sometimes I feel like I live with a Smurf. I turn around and this little blue thing is trailing after me. I'm trying to teach her to say "smurf"!!

I think that would be fun having them both following me around on the floor! They are both so darn cute! I love how you are calling her a Smurf!

Thanks! I love watching her explore a little more and get more relaxed. She just loves watching the kids!
