I noticed this morning Pepper's beak looked different. Sorry this pic isn't great, I will try to take a better one tomorrow. It looks like in the middle area he lost several layers. Is this normal or should I be worried and take him to the vet? He doesn't seemed bothered by it at all.

Thanks in advance.

I was concerned too when Skittles beak seem to flake off like that. My friend saw her this weekend and said that it was normal and not to worry.

Obviously, I'm still worried... :D

It is normal, nothing to be super concerned about. They will grind it some more and over time it would be filed down a bit.

When I adopted my grey, he had a similar looking beak. I got him a sandy corner perch and he filed it down himself.
