Skittles - scarlet macaw
Skittles Xmas present finally came!

It is really a cool hanging gym. It is pretty big too, just about 5' from the top to the bottom. I like how every section swings so Skittles gets some exercise and has to keep her balance. We only have had it for 3 days now and she is just starting to like it. This is an improvement from when I put a sandy perch in her cage and it took her about 2 weeks to use it...

Here is a video clip of her climbing around to get some macadamia nuts.

We are looking for a bird for our family. It's very much like we are pregnant and waiting for the day the new addition comes to the family!
Wow! That's really nice! Where did you get it from? Was it super expensive?

Wow! Very nice I also love that it swings like a tree in the breeze making her focus and keep balance. What great exercise fun for her!

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
I've got one of those too...

It's an older version of it. My redfront has lived on that thing since I brought her home more than a decade ago...

It's nice. The "branches" are shaped so that the feet get natural perch contours. The bowls hook in solidly (although sweepea made the top bowl into a nest) and it's easy to clean.

It was $170 and I am very happy with it. The only design flaw is the bowls are down below and are in the line of fire when the bird poops...

I'm posting the link of the place I purchased it, but am doing so with some hesitation, because of the huge problem we had with getting it delivered. I ordered and paid for it in November and when it didn't show up for Xmas, I was a little concerned. I called them and was told that they take about 6 weeks, but with Christmas and the New Year it may take an extra week. No package or status update after another 2 weeks. There was a new excuse every time I called... Now that it was so close to 3 months since I made the purchase, I thought my credit card company wouldn't refund my purchase if this turned out to be a scam... So either it was just one messed up order, or they have real problems with getting packages to clients. It would have been a whole lot better if they were pro-active with there customer service and notified me of what was going on instead of me having to constantly contact them to find out where the package was.

So if you buy one, make sure you get in writing when it will be delivered and use a form of payment that you can dispute the charges if the order goes bad...

I had the same problem, only with me they didn't have the Christmas excuse. It took FOREVER.

I think it's more like, they don't have stock on hand. They don't make it until you pay for it, and they have time. I am just guessing, but I think it's someone's sideline business.

Yeah, the lower bowl is in a bad spot, but I don't actually use the food bowls.

Sweepea made a nest out of the top bowl when she was just a baby, and she still goes in the upper food bowl and sleeps in it. So, it's more a nest than anything.

But Sweepea is 12 years old now, and I have had mine since practically the time I brought her home. It's still good as new. So a few months wait, it's worth it.

Frankly, I'd like to have 3-4 of these things. They held up well, and my bird uses it.

In the photo, you can see the ridged orthopedic branches. I forgot to mention that was one of the features that sold me on the gym.
