I thought I would post a quick update from my earlier post. Kali has grown a lot and now has some feathers coming in! She is such an adorable lil girl

I am also very excited to see all her feathers come in! It should be another three of four weeks! I probably should have waited to post this thread, because I am going to visit her for the first time on Monday!!! I am sure I will take a ton of pictures. She has a lot of really vibrant blues and dark greens already, along with a sharp shot of yellow coming out on the tail. I am waiting to see what shade of red/orange the breast will be. God I am too excited:30:

I did not get a chance to go visit Kali today:-( we ended up getting 9 inches of snow. It may have been for the best, as it will give her another week to grow more feathers. I cant wait till next Monday. .. hopefully we won't have anymore obstacles.

I think you are right about her being a big girl. She is growing so fast and does look a little larger than her older brother.

update

I went to visit Kali yesterday. She was so sweet! She wasn't very active and pretty much just wanted to sleep, but she was enjoying getting lots of scratches. I took a lot of pics and her feathers are really coming in now and boy are they pretty! I plan to visit again in a couple weeks.

FAINT! Holy smokes, look at her GORGEOUS colors.

You HAVE to be over the moon after visiting with your stunning Kali! I can't get over how quickly she is growing. You'll be amazed to see how soon Kali will recognize and remember you, and then your heart will skip a beat.

Wendy,
I wanted to scoop her up and take her home soooo bad :32: I cant get over how much she is changing. I will be visiting again on the 14th of April and believe me I am dying to see her again. As for my heart skipping a beat, I think it stopped when I first saw her. She was very quiet and just sit there for the most part. She purred a little while i scratched her and threw out a few yawns. OH and after a lil while she reached out with her foot and held my finger!! OMG I melted right then and there!
The breeder is very nice and has really endured my endless enthusiasm lol.
I am thinking she will be almost fully or fully feathered In the next pictures. I don't know how im going to wait

I swear, your love for Kali shines through SO much already! I can tell you it will get harder and harder to see her and then having to say "see you soon". (It was for me with my Niko) You'll be wanting to go more and more, especially as the time approaches that Kali begins to eat a bit on her own. Then one day you will get there, and the breeder will say "Kali took her first flight today", and you will feel like OMG, I missed it! What helped me, was knowing I'd have a LIFETIME with Niko, and then counting the days between visits. Gosh, did I beat the crap out of my car during the time that Niko was still over an hour away from me...from HOME... :54:

My Catalina was my first bird. He is incredibly smart and powerful compared with my other two. I never had the joy of seeing him at Kali's stage in life, as I got him at the 4 year mark. Baby macaws are so cute; they just look like little pre-historic monsters. He is going to have a light colored beak as with Catalinas this can go either way. Here is a pic of my Doogie with his dark beak. He is 20 now. The second pic is of the albino macaws, but it shows that young macaw baby monster look that I love!

Doogie is a very handsome boy! He has very beautiful color. Lol it looks like he knows he is a handsome boy to I also like the baby macaws. In Kali's Easter pics, she looks like a little dragon guarding her eggs I really can't wait to see the rest of Kali's colors. I think she will have a lot of yellow around the top of her neck and a suspect she will have that light blue on the head all the way down her back.
