I am curious about the rate of feather loss. Within the last two days, my B& G Terry has lost three big feathers- one tail, the other wing. He's not plucking (from what I can tell) but they are falling out.
He's on Zupreem pellets supplemented with nuts, fruits, veggies, etc. His diet is well balanced. We adopted him four months ago but he's adapted very well.
Anyone have any ideas on the number of feathers he should loose? Just making sure he's ok.... THANKS!

See siggie :)
He could be going through moult.... but what do his flights feel like? If they are loose then he could have french moult.

I think he is moulting. Oh.... right. He IS moulting. Not sure about the rates, but I am not sure he should be losing a load of large feathers in such a short time. With my budgies, they lose their downy feathers first.
