I recently picked up a Caitec Generation II foraging wheel. Quinn keeps ripping down so it is pretty much useless. I was wondering what others are using and how do they hold up. I'm going to try and see if I can secure it to the cage better with additional hardwear. In case that fails i hope to have a back up option.

Just the plastic bracket and nuts that comes from factory. I haven't fully looked into potential modifications yet.

If it hangs I always change to stainless clasp carabeeners (?) Heavy duty. My guy hasn't figured out the clasp yet any any toy I make, I use those.

I have similar problems with both my Big Macs, Mattroma. They all too quickly figure out how to 'unpop' the big screw-in thingy in the back and the toy goes plummeting to the cage floor. :eek:

I've found that using fishing line in the back, and securing it to the cage, helps with the toys not falling down once the bird pops off the big screw.

Here's a foraging toy I've made, which is holding up splendidly:
