Hi everyone!

I thought Fargo deserved an update, it has been a while! haha

Firstly.. We changed rooms in the house..

Unfortunately it wasn't a nice move for Fargo, and a week and a half later he is still fairly upset over it.. Nothing that bad, but you can just tell he hasn't fully adjusted yet, understandable considering he has lived in the same room for over 2 years..

We are now outside the room with my brother's cats who sit and watch Fargo through the window, so it will take Fargo a while to understand they can't kill him through safety wire.. haha :/

Aside from that he is still lovely, he will be 3 soon!!

I have just been studying, riding horses!

The room so far- We will be getting the wall knocked out and having a double room in a few weeks so Fargo can have a big flying area, however for now, this is what we have:

When the move is over it will look better with more of his things, but I have a giant branch across the top for him to sit on which is cool!

I don't think I have shown you guys these pictures from the other week either!

My special area haha

and lastly

My pathophysiology teacher.. Has a macaw cup... How cool is he?!?! Although it isn't a blue and gold.. Tsk tsk

He drinks out of it every lecture, and so I sent this picture to him.. hahahaha

He said- That is a beautiful looking macaw who obviously appreciates fine china HAHA

Oh I also think I have not told you guys that I finished my first year of uni, we got all our results back for our exams at the end of October.. Aced my exams! Amazingly I got HD's in biochemistry and human anatomy haha.. Could not be happier with that! I should be on holidays now, however I am starting 2nd year instead ! hehe

and lucky last !

Who wants to have a guess as to what Fargo is saying in this video, he says it at the beginning and end a few times

Fargo! Fargo! Fargo! He's saying his name and saying it clearly, right? Good boy, Fargo!

Tab, I can't say I'm at all surprised that you aced your exams, but I'm thrilled for you. Did you get a holiday at all or right back to classes? You're an amazing student.

I love Fargo's new room and I'm glad he left you a small space for work and study. Fargo looks pretty happy already with his new place. That branch is awesome, more like a tree.

Love the photos and update! Good to hear from you.

Awww pretty Fargo. He is saying his name. Yay Fargo.:D. I think I also heard him say step up and get down as well.

I just love the big branch you have for him. That is amazing. I am sure it will not be long before he is completely settled in his new digs....errrr room.

Congrats to you on the uni results as well. You must be so proud of yourself and you must give thanks to your awesome study buddy Fargo. :)

Hahaha yes! :D He says Fargo in this cute little voice.. He has copied me saying it, but the way he has copied, is when I say it when I am telling him off ? Because it is very quick.. FARGO DON'T! :p

Where as other times I will be like- Hiii Fargooo, in a very happy voice.. But yeah, he decided to copy the grumpy voice

He also says Tabitha too.. I will try and video that today.. He says different words when the camera isn't pointing at him.. If he sees the camera he juts says hello haha

and yes, at the end he says step up!

Allee, I did have 2 weeks break :) Although it wasn't really a break, because we had to wait to get our results back... So you don't get 100% relaxation because you have no idea if you passed or not ;)

A few of my friends failed biochemistry... I was thinking I might have JUST passed, maybe a credit, or a distinction if lucky.. and then as the time goes on waiting, you start to doubt yourself even more, so I was expecting to resit the exam ;)

and lucky me, I was one of the students who had an error on the day results were released.. Everyone had their results at midnight, and I had to wait until lunch time.. I ended up messaging my biochemistry teacher asking him to tell me if I passed or not! :p

I couldn't believe it when it was High Distinction! Highest grade you can get! I emailed him again and said- IS THAT RIGHT, NO WAY!! Hahaha

We have to do the next stage of biochemistry next year, so hopefully it goes just as well!

But next year doesn't start until march  So i thought, why sit and do absolutely nothing for 5 months? Might as well get started on year 2 :)

Human Pathophysiology is AMAZING.. It has been my favourite subject.. The assignment is actually the hardest I have ever done, because it is a made up syndrome, so there is absolutely no information about it.. Therefore we have to use logic and reasoning to explain about 50 different things haha

The branch WAS a tree.. It was sooo heavy, and I dragged it up the hill.. It has many screws and brackets holding it in place!

Hopefully he relaxes soon.. When he is sitting with me he is fine.. But if he is at the window or in his cage, it seems like he is scared ? Fargo never ever everrrr screamed for the past 2 years.. He has never once woken me up in the mornings.. But since being in this room he has screamed a little bit.. Not alot.. But more than usual, like that upset panicked scream.. Which I am 99% sure is from the cats sitting at the window :(

Funny story.. Everyone seems to think Fargo is messy because 'He is a bird living in the house'..
My dad always carries on about how Fargo is gross.. Sigh..

Anyways!

My Aunty and Uncle came to visit the other weekend.. and they had a tour of the house.. and after they had been in every room they said-

We have decided, that Tabitha has the cleanest and tidiest room out of anyone..

and yet apparently Fargo and I are the messy ones of the family? HAHA ;)

No guessing here, it's pretty clear he's saying Fargo!! Beautiful pics of the boy as always Tab :).
Congratulations on your exams! I didn't expect anything less from you though!

I hope he gets used to his new room soon. I'm sure it'll take an adjustment period if he is telling you he's not happy with it. As time goes on, I think he'll settle right in and forget about how the old room was eventually. Thanks for the update :)

Hahaha thank you! :D

Yes I hope so.. I just hate seeing him not completely at ease and comfortable..

When the wall is knocked out it will be much better because he can get all his other trees in the room so it will be similar to his old room! :)

Here are some pictures of him on his giant tree branch after his shower-

and just some other randoms sitting on my hand

and this is the scariest photo EVER!! I was dancing and singing with him and he was dancing and screaming, and the phone took the shot at the scariest time hahahaha

He looks like a dinosaur or something ;)

Nawww he is so cute

What I love most, is that when Fargo is playing, I get a free hand massage hahaha

He puts pressure on, which doesn't hurt, but it just puts a little bit of pressure on my hand and fingers, it is lovely ;)

Looks like I am strangling him in this photo haha

Yummy fingers

Hahaha it is a pity he doesn't think it is a lovely room.. He thinks he has been downgraded ;)

In a few weeks it will be even bigger than his old room, but until then we are cramped into a small space.. It feels like I am in a dorm room with this lazy room mate who doesn't clean up after himself :p

O Tab! O Fargo! You guys are just the cutest pair!

I wish my guys would learn to say their names that clearly. Their 'hello' is a crystal clear imitation of me saying it. And they sing a snippet of opera (just a snippet, though). And they sneeze in my voice. That's it. Oh, sorry: they also say 'WOOOoooowwww'. I have a feeling Fargo is going to suddenly come out with a whole vocabulary of words: you can hear him practising. I do love his 'Fargo! Fargo!' though. Such a gorgeous fellow! :D

And you! I think you've chosen exactly the right career path, y'know? Who knows? Maybe sometime down the track you might move sideways and do medicine? It seems as though you're making huge strides toward a really brilliant career, Tab. Everyone here is just so proud of you and waiting to hear the next exciting installment of 'The Life and Times of Tab and Fargo'. XXXX

Hehe thank you Trish :D

This is my favourite picture of the cute pair haha

HAHAHA Now you need to get a video of the Beaks talking, especially their attempted opera ! Now how will you know if they are just copying your sneeze, or actually sneezing ? HAHA

I am fairly sure at 11-12 seconds he does say- Fargo get down!

It is funny how birds pick up on different words and sounds though.. I am always singing and playing music, but Fargo has never learnt to sing or whistle... He seems to like 2 syllable things- Fargo.. Hello. Get down. Step up.. Really.. oh and muuuuuuum.. haha

It's strange how everything works out! Last year I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do/be, and now I couldn't think of doing anything else!!

I am the only student who actually loves studying.. I have never complained about studying, it may get difficult at times, but I love even the hard bits!

I think, that I am one of the lucky ones that have a VERY good memory?

Which is probably why I find examinations easy ?

Honestly, all term, I don't commit anything to memory, I watch lectures, and take notes.. But the week before exams, I read, the same thing, over and over, and there we go.. It is memorised

Plus I had my songs about glycolysis and the TCA cycle, so i listened to those on repeat for biochemistry ;)

You know, I go to the uni to do my exams...

And there was this lady, on all 3 days I went..

So the second day.. She saw me, and winked and said-

You have nothing to worry about, I remember you yesterday, you will be done in 10 minutes no doubt? ;)

HAHA

The third day, was biochemistry, and she said- How long today, 15 minutes and you will be finished? :p

Committing wayyyy too much to memory

I write everything on my arms/legs, and that way, I can see words I can't remember?

This is my current Pathophysiology assignment study..

My goal is to do a few years working as an ACP, and thennnn take the next step and become an ICP (intensive care)..

I am fairly sure you have to do 3 years before being allowed to become an ICP?

I wouldn't mind being called Dr. Tab though ;) hahaha

XOXO

Glad to see Fargo doing so well!! I tried making my macaw a room but she couldn't resist chewing the walls. I am going to put plywood up to help and then reintroduce her to it.
I hope she can be half as spoiled as Fargo!

Wow! That's uncanny! You study the same way I do, Tab. I also was blessed with a good memory. I found out about that in 1969 when I began to memorise our French culture textbook. By the end of the year, I could virtually recite the whole book! LOL! Then, when I was doing Zoology 200-2, I memorised the evolutionary tree of the vertebrates. Boy was that useful! :D

One question I'd ask is: how do you think you landed on Paramedic as a career path? Did you just wake up one morning and there was the idea, firmly planted in your mind?

Hahaha Fargo lovesssss the walls too, hence he learnt to say - Fargo get down! :p But he has learnt that he isn't allowed to, if he starts to head over to a wall I will just say Fargo get down, and he will move away! :)

Hahaha Trish that is awesome!! French culture, I am not sure I could read a whole book about that HAHA :)

Ohhhh it was all meant to be..

It was a dark night in september 2013, and I was in my room watching a movie.. When suddenly there was a loud crash down on the road ;)

Mum and I went down, there was a drunk guy who hit a tree/fence with his car!

So we helped him out, I looked after him, kept him conscious/warm whilst mum called the ambulance!

Paramedics arrived and it was just amazing watching them, and it was all just so exciting and interesting..

Mum went in the ambulance and was talking to the paramedic... and the young paramedic said to mum- Your daughter is very calm, has she thought about being a paramedic..

Mum told me, and I had never thought about it.. Never ever.. But it did seem interesting, but I had no idea how to do it?!

3-4 weeks later... I was riding Kyros, and as the story goes, I ended up having him stand on me ;) and the paramedics came..

This is why i think it was all fate, and that things happen for a reason..

It was the same paramedic, and he said- Hey, you are the girl who should be a paramedic?

So we talked for 50 minutes on the way to the hospital all about it.. The goods, the bads.. How to do it.. The training..

He told me to go to CQU!

A month later I was applying for CQU and thus my career began! ;)

Funny how things work out hey!! :)

As always, Robin, I'm so proud of you! And, as always, I'm not even remotely surprised by your academic achievements!

Fargo is looking beautiful as ever, but I apparently will have to wait until I get back home to watch the Fargo video. That link isn't mobile friendly.

As for your desire to eventually become an ICP, I'm more than confident in your ability to turn desire into reality. But what exactly is an ICP? What are the duties and such, and how would it differ from being a paramedic?

Thank you Stephen :D

Sorry my videos are never mobile friendly apparently :(

Umm this should explain is easily showing which procedures you are allowed to do and which drugs you can administer..

Basically ICP are the people you call in the serious cases.. They have their own special car as well.. I love the ICP car hahaha

They are more so the leaders and mentors in situations as well..

Don't you live out in the country? That makes it even more "fateful" that you'd have 2 encounters with paramedics.....

Maybe Kyros was playing "matchmaker" in your career choice, and trod on you on purpose? :D

Haha there are no ambulance stations near us, so it is the city ambulance which comes out.. So there are many many paramedics who get rostered on :)

In a 168 hour week.. One paramedic is only rostered on for 20 hours altogether.. :) So getting the same paramedic was lucky! The second officer was different both times though

HAHAHA I think Kyros definitely did it to help me ;)
