I am looking for a good tree stand, at least 5 feet tall for my macaw, does anyone have any suggestions on who has the best ones for sale? Thanks for the help! Ruby will be very happy!!!!
If you buy them 'ready', they can be quite costly, and depending on how destructive Ruby is, even the Java wood trees will take quite a 'beating'. :54:
eBay sells playtrees, and here are a few other links of places that sell them: AE Large Java Trees - FREE Shipping!
Buford's perches are all Sycamore branches from the back yard. We cut them to rough size then bleach, rinse and dry them. Then we cut them to final size and lag bolt them to a piece of 3/4" plywood. We can screw extra branches where needed. He nibbles on them a little, but surprisingly he doesn't destroy them.
His latest is a 9' branch (we have 10' ceilings) that is in the corner.
The best part is that the cost is $0 (just a little time.)
