Hmmm... my finely honed detective's instincts tell me that your mystery bird trainer is none other than... our own Birdmann666!

Looks like you and your flock will be in very capable hands. Good of you to help out, Mark. Which of your flock are you taking with you?

Just Maggie this trip...

Sally is WAY TOO protective of me... She's my mother hen. If another bird makes aggressive moves towards me, she tends to get her amazon backbone up, and goes after them. I've got enough to do without trying to keep her calm.

It's also easier to teach some of this stuff with a bird that's already tame and calm with everyone.

Lila could probably use a day out too. Is there a good trip or portable playstand I can put her on?

She's a sweet little bird, she just doesn't get out much...

well all but the flamingo :p:p but the main one well 4 is
liz the female eclectus (I am scared of her I wont even deny it)
mason the male rescue severe
and the 2 GW that were mated not mated very long complicated story but they are aggressive when in the same room now and Jekyll the male his bottom jaw is crazy big could possible get like 3 fingers at once type thing

But I am positive and open minded and ready to learn cause who know if what I was taught about birds was right so far half of it was wayyyyyyy wrong and im changing my ways and habits to better take care of my BIG family :)

She's a 43 year old lilac crowned amazon...

Haven't really decided if I'm going to bring her or not. She sometimes gets nervous in new surroundings and doesn't stay put in new surroundings.

Maggie, I can actually set down and walk away from, and come back an hour later and she'll be right where I left her. I don't have to worry about it.

Lila is fine like that in OUR tree, in OUR yard. But in someplace new, she gets nervous. And I'm going to be focusing my attention elsewhere... so maybe not this time. (If I know Sarah, this will be an hour or two of entertainment working with the birds, then she'll be asking to use the pool...)

I just talked myself out of it.

My focus needs to be on the working with the birds. Not worrying about what Lila is doing...

Ah, so your daughter will be helping with the bird counseling, Mark?

Maybe you could bring Maggie to our house to teach Zoe. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say I can put Zoe down, turn my back for 2 seconds, turn back around and she will have caused some kind of havoc. Last time I went to the rest room and left her loose I came out and discovered her trying to dismantle the bathroom door handle.

Ah, so your daughter will be helping with the bird counseling, Mark?

She loves big macs and toos... so she's coming along.

However, I have a feeling she's going to duck out shortly after we arrive, and head for the pool...

Which is fine. I'm sure she'll handle some of them, and can demonstrate how you approach an aggressive macaw. She's got that part down pat... (years of practice! Some of the ones we worked with were not all that pleasant to deal with at first.)
