1 BFA- Kiwi. Hatch circa 98', forever home with us Dec. 08'
100% scam. Parrot eggs cannot be shipped, period, nor can someone who does not have an expensive incubator keep them viable.

If you want a macaw, buy a fully weaned baby from an experienced and reputable breeder or adopt an older one in need of a new home.

Yes a Scam!

I removed the link to the website, so that nobody else will fall victim to these scumbags. We’ve had 2 new members register with us over the past 2 days trying this stuff. Both were scammers. Both were advertising fertile eggs.

Do NOT fall victim.

I always get so very amused with scams. :54: There really should be more publicity on the dangers and how to spot one, then we wouldn't have as many people falling for them.

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
Also the people that post . I can give a Parrot a good home just need a free one. I can't afford it.

THERE'S THAT DOLPHIN SONG AGAIN....

"CUZ I'M A FLIPPER... FLIPPER...
SEND ME YOUR BIRD... I'LL MAKE A QUICK BUCK...
AND YOU KNOW FLIPPER... FLIPPER... AIN'T WHO HE SEEMS...
IT'S ALL JUST A SCHEME... "

Some of this stuff, though, is amazingly obvious. I honestly wonder how people fall for it in this day and age. IT'S THE INTERNET STUPID... AND THAT ISN'T A NIGERIAN PRINCE YOU JUST GAVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO...

Anyone ever respond to this stuff by giving out PHONY bank account information?! SOMEONE has to have done that right?!

spotting one:

1. It's on the internet.
2. It sounds too good to be true.
3. In the case of parrot eggs, it isn't possible to do that...

:d

Ok, I just had a hissy fit. I did a quick and easy Google search for ‘parrot eggs’, and to my sheer horror, there are several websites. Even a FB page! Is there a way to report SPAMMY pages? On FB or regular other sites? I made a post on the FB site and it was immediately removed.

Several Forms threads on FB will remove you if you post in them SOOOOO I actually contact anything that seems interested . Just a heads up. and yes I have been reported and removed. So far as I know FB has no place you can report. Sad but true . You can block but not report. Serious issue

What comes up when you Google Nigerian Prince, I wonder?! :D

It was immediately removed because you're messing with their free money...

There must be a way to report it, I'm just not familiar enough with it to know how...

There is. At the top of every post you have the click the check mark. Follow it all the way to the end of reporting.

I just checked and it works. There is a link going around . Poor girl in China getting beat up. NO where should that be posted.

So I just went on a reporting spree on facebook. I did lead someone on that was trying to give away a breading pair of Hyacinths "just pay shipping!". Makes me sick that people are trying to profit from birds like this.
