Best in case perches?

Does anyone have a recommendation on in case perches that mount to the side of the cage? I've heard that concrete ones aren't good, and dowels are worse.

Should I just make my own out of tree branches, or what do people use?

Thanks

Java, Dragon wood, and cactus are common and are good for perches (many online bird stores carry them, I can give sites if you are interested or just google).

What I have started doing is just purchasing DF 2x4 and then ripping it in half then roughly cutting it to be "round" they turn out looking like similar to this.
