Ladies and gentleman, please meet Aaliyah, the youngest and newest meme her of my flock. She is 6 week old green wing macaw and if all goes well, she will be coming home to me in about 6 more weeks. I couldn't be more happy!

Congratulations, Stephen! What a sweet surprise! Those chicks are precious with those darling little faces and huge beaks.

You must be delirious with excitement in anticipation of bringing her home. Will she be fully weaned at just twelve weeks? Macs aren't my area of expertise and I've never hand fed a baby parrot.

Yes, please tell us how to correctly pronounce her name.

Haha! Yes, I will happily bring her to you.

Thanks so much, folks! Her name pronounced Uh-Lee-Uh. She is named after an RnB/pop singer that passed in 2001. She was/is my wife's favorite singer.
