So, I know that out of cage time isn't exactly pleasant unless the bird likes what he does out of the cage. Known as "Quality time" or time that he or she likes. And so there's no real answer on how much out of cage time there should be for each breed of bird but there has to be an answer to this: How much quality time does a macaw need? Out of cage time, I have learned, is much different that quality time. Answers? Opinions? Thanks :):red1:

Well if I were to ask my macaws, there would NEVER be any in cage time.

And as for quality time, they all want to cuddle with me 24/7:eek:

Its funny how big birds like macaws are cuddly and gentle but little birds such as mini macaws or lovebirds tend to be nippy. Not all of course, but in my past experiences bigger macs are sweeter. :)

I think it's because the bigger macaws bond like they do. In the wild, they spend hour every day preening/cuddling their mate. I guess that need is still there and I am the next best thing to a mate :)
