Hello Folk,

Has anyone heard of wendy's parrots breeder? look like her site is not available http://www.wendysparrots.com/ and i just could not find any whereabouts her nor her aviary's website. One of my friend is looking for a Red Fronted Macaw, and as per as I know when its come to RFM is the guru, and I was hoping I can hook him with her.

if anyone has any idea about her, or her legit POC please let me know or PM me.

Wendy Craig is, in my opinion, one of the finest macaw breeders in the USA, if not THE best!!!

What you get from Wendy is a bird that has been fully weaned and allowed to fledge, who knows the basics, and is socialized to the Nth degree...

I've never seen a bad Wendy bird.

She's the BEST in my opinion, but I too, thought she retired.

Outside my area of expertise. Don't know any east coast breeders...

Avalon Aviaries (CO) is probably the closest to you of the breeders I know (Suzanne Cochrain). Little more expensive but you get quality training for the price, and high end nutrition...

I got Sweepea from Blackstone Aviaries in San Diego... but that's a long flight.

Cindy's Parrot Place is in Virginia. I haven't ever personally dealt with them but they raise a lot of birds, including RFM's. They appear to be a MAP certified aviary, with LOTS of birds. So they are not a fly by night operation. Five stars on bird breeders... and AV rated. Probably your best bet.

Avian Adventures.... they are a 10+...

But I could be a tad biased.

MY MAGGIE WAS AN AVIAN ADVENTURES BABY...

They are in NorCal though. That's still a long flight. That's the only downside.

Thank you Birdman, I was thinking about Cindy's Parrot Place too, Avalon still a stretch for the birdy I would say; not that I don't like Loveland( CO) :) I was there last year for a week fall in love with the place.

on the other hands, I suggested him Timneh African Grey, since price wise both RFM and TAG in the same range. What you think about Timneh African Grey. Thanks for all the help and info. Happy Parrot talking.

Entirely different bird.

Apples and oranges on how you raise them.

I'm more a macaw fanatic, so I'm biased... DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I LIKE, IT'S WHAT YOU LIKE THAT COUNTS!!!

True, I was thinking the same, one is Macaw and another one is TAG. Since he has a CAG that's why I kind of said to him why not a TAG. I will let him explore this forum, and let him decide what he wants? Apple or orange. I just can be there as friends to help and guide him with my limited knowledge.

I have been there several times, really nice folks! They have a very large supply of rescues that are really needing a good home! Unfortunately, the website is really out of date!

b&g macaw
Hi everyone. My first post here but have been lurking for years.
I purchased My b&g from Wendy about 10 years ago (2007) and would like to add another bird (macaw or whatever my petite flower gets along with) to the flock. Since Wendy has "retired" who does one go to now? Would also consider a rescue from a reputable source.
Thanks!
