Momma to Mochi- Cinnamon Green Cheeked Conure. Hatched 4/18/16
And the new baby, Romeo- Hahn's Macaw. Hatched 4/26/18
This thing, Romeo, my 6mo Hahns, is ridiculously cuddly. Like curl up under my neck, and lift his wing so i can scratch him. This is insane. Mochi loves to roughhouse and playfight with me and hes into everything. Romeo is happy just chilling and being loved on and cuddled for hours, this is amazing:)

Hmm sounds like a baby Macaw to me. Normal baby behavior that they may or may not grow out of.

I hope to god he doesnt lose this streak:) ive always had very chompy, and grumpy macs because they were fosters. I never had a chance to be the first love of their lives. So I always saw self mutilation, screaming, biting, neuroses, and lungey. Never soft cuddly and lovey

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
Again, I feel like the worst-case-scenario poster, but do keep in mind that all (or at least MOST) babies are nice. Certain behaviors that seem innocent now could easily become sexually stimulating when hormones kick in. I would try not to start anything I couldn't sustain into adulthood (within reason..)
Petting under the wings and cuddles are frequently misunderstood by birds who want nothing more than to mate..for life...or close to it...

For example: As a kid under the age of 4, I frequently took baths with my cousin (who was a boy---I am a girl)...Thought nothing of it (Didn't even notice that he was a boy)..Then when we were 4, our parents said we couldn't do that anymore. I remember being really sad and not understanding why (because there was nothing weird/sexual about it to EITHER OF US)...

That having been said, it would have been super-weird had this continued into pre-puberty/puberty...They made the call super early because they didn't want it to be awkward and they were right to do so. Do you see what I mean?

I am happy that you are happy and that your bird is happy.
I just hate to think of a sexually frustrated teen turning on his dysfunctional "first love" when things get messy...SOOOO enjoy, but keep that in mind. I always feel like the non-supportive kill-joy lol. I swear, that isn't my intention.

Im totally tracking, and I appreciate your input. I didnt take it at all that way. Mochi, my cinnamon green cheek Conure, was super mouthy when i got him as a 6 month old hatchling, so Im just in awe at how non mouthy this guy is, considering Ive only had experience with birds that were in their late 20s early 30s, who had serious issues. This is a very pleasant surprise.
