Our 8 week old Green Winged Macaw snatched a whole grape and swallowed it..It has been 2 hours and it is still in his craw..Will he/she digest this or will it have to be removed by a vet..Thank You:

I'd try urgently to reach the vet... do you have an avian one? If not...
Certified Avian Vets
https://abvp.com/animal-owners/find-an-abvp-specialist/
If none are near you...
Avian Veterinarians

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.

I don't know much about such young babies... unweaned, I assume?
Our excellent authority SilverSage offered this a while back. I hope it will help!

I'm so nervous for you and your baby! Please keep us posted.

Hi Jax,

crazy bird/ silly baby!
At least it will not do any immediate damage because it is not sharp.
Apart from that... I really do not know, the more experienced people will wake up pretty soon, but you can always phone you CAV for some advice on the matter first?

Where on the planet are you?

With 8 weeks it should still be with his parrents, what happened?
