Great Deal on Stainless Steal Cage(<--see what I did there?)

I just bought my Military a new SS cage a few days ago, and it just shipped out today! I wanted to share the deal because at first, I didn't think it was real. The website My Bird Store has a 48x36 A&E SS Dome Top for ~$3299(plus free freight + 20% off coupon). With the coupon, it's ~$2639. I've been looking at cages for a while because Radar's current powder-coated cage is super rough. I understand this price is still crazy expensive, but I haven't seen any other comparable cages below $3500 and I thought it was worth the share. The new tariffs on Chinese goods are causing a huge price hike in cages, that will likely only get worse. Ken, at Bastrop Cages (super friendly and helpful guy), says prices have pretty much doubled in the past few months.

Yikes, I hadn’t even considered what that will do to cage prices.

Doubling of the price would place a huge profit on top of the tariff increase. Clearly far more than the far less than a 50% tariff would cause.

Anyway, I have assembled far too many cages and have come up with a method that eases the process. Assemble the cage upside down with the legs up. Use two bath size towels to assemble the cage on. This allows you to with easy find any nuts or screws that fall during assembly. Place towels on the floor along a wall then place one of the wide panels along the wall with the legs upwards with the towel under it. Attach one and than the second side panels. At this point the other wide panel can be attached. Install the bottom floor grate and your cage is now square and you are ready to install the wheels.
With help or care, slowly set the cage on its wide (side) face and than continue to turn the cage until it is on its wheels. At this point, you can add the upper dome.
FYI: I assemble on a hard floor that allows me to turn the cage as its sits on its top on the towels.

Note: I always install the front (door side) last as you can double check that you did not assemble the door to open into the cage!
Seed catchers should be installed last!!!

One More Point! Have the boxes (commonly two) arrive slowly into the room in which the cage will be used! At this point, I have my Parrot help with the opening of the boxes, which could take a couple of days. And, than help with the assembly of the cage. This vastly reduces the fear factor for the Parrot and eases the transition into the new cage.

Update! Just washed and put the new cage together today! Still a work in progress, but at least it's here and Radar can start getting used to it.
