Rita (Military Macaw),
Mango (Goffin Cockatoo),
I had to send Rita & Phoenix to foster earlier this year. I got the flu, got over the flu, got a cold, got over the cold, got food poisoning, got over food poisoning, got pnuemonia, got over that, then became extremely sick for a couple weeks, I wasn't getting better. I kept getting worse was in, and out of the ER I kept getting told I had the flu again. Then I was out of it, and my wife thought I was having another stroke because of how I was acting. They rushed me to one of the best heart hospitals in the area. I wasn't having a stroke, so they started testing me for all kinds of stuff especially because test were showing the enzymes in my heart were raising, and they weren't saying I had a heart attack, but I was close. I was admitted, and after almost a week in the hospital they told my wife she was lucky that they rushed me to the ER like they did. I had contracted Salamonella (however you spell it), and from being sick over, and over my body had nothing left to fight it so it tore through my body, and started spreading to my brain which is why I was acting like I was having another stroke.

Rita, and Phoenix are rescues that have some issues, and I am the only one who can handle Rita. They said it could take months before I would recover, and between my wife's promotion, two babies, me being sick, and a special needs teenager there was no way she could care for them. The birds we have had since babies stayed though.

While they were in foster we built a bird room, and have a new cages coming, and new playstands. We are supposed to pick them up the end of this month, but the new cage isn't here as my wife lost her job and was out of work for almost two months, and we haven't been able to finish building the playstands. I am freaking out, and need my babies back home they have been gone since april, and I am crying. I am not sure what to do because when we built the birdroom we switched over to strictly sleeper cages because well it is a big birdroom and they have only ever gone in their cages to sleep, and rarely even played in them. My wife losing her job really hurt us big time, and I am freaking out.

I don't only need them back because they're part of the family, but our flock is also my comfort, and safe haven. I have had a hell of a year. For his well being, and everyone in our home, and for him to get better I had to sign gaurdianship over so he could go live where he could be kept safe, and get all the help he needs and some. It sucks because of it he has refused to talk to me since may. I am also having to start using a wheelchair off, and on because my back is getting worse and different times it is like my right leg isn't there or there is nothing from the waist down. I need my babies back to just help me keep it together. Just keep in thoughts, prayers or what have you because I need them back asap

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
Sending good vibes. Let me know if there is anything we can do to help.
