Woo-hoo! I'm official! :D

Thank you to those who have helped make this possible with your orders, assistance and encouragement.

I went into this because I like making those little plushies so much, and now it's turning out that my cage covers are quite popular. I guess it's hard/impossible to find someone who can make a cover for literally any cage. That's why I made my own after all. I've gotten a couple of orders for covers, some very oddly shaped cages/challenges to work out. I'm loving the challenge. :D

They really are cute renditions of your very own parrot. I am lookin at my "Salty" one, sitting on my computer screen at work. Its like he is here ( but not taking off keyboard keys).

Awwwwww!!! I'm so glad you like the Salty plushy!! He's done a great job as my Spokesparrot on my shop. I've had people ask me for that specific one, but no.... that little Salty is one of a kind.

Congrats on becoming a supporting vendor Squeekmouse. :)
As I've mention before I do want to get a plushy made with Jacob's feathers once I get enough of them. Only question is, can I legally send feathers/down feathers from Canada to USA? I tried to google it but couldn't find any info on it.

Cairo the Ekkie!
Yay! My parents were so thrilled to receive their plushie. It was a surprise (I made them wait to video call me first), so there was a lot of excitement over the skype call. My mum definitely had a 'my grandchild' moment with the plushie, holding the Cairo up with a big smile and happy giggles. Even the old sailor, my dad, cracked a hint of a smile. He promptly adopted him and perched him on his large TV monitor (big screen for old eyes).

It's really great because they've never met Cairo in person before - only over video calls and Cairo loves listening to my mum speak their language (both of them grew up speaking/hearing Malay). So Mouse sending photos of placing the feathers inside, then my parents receiving the plushies with Cairo's feathers inside made it really special for them.

I'm so glad I clicked on the link to the reactions of your parents! The expression of excitement on your mom's face made my heart smile!

Considering people ship down clothing and pillows all the time, I don't see why it would be a problem.

I had an idea the other day... I could make a plushy with a little zipper so you could fill it with feathers as you collect them... My husband thought people might not like having a zipper on their plushy, but I thought if it was a small/less visible kind maybe... Just a thought. :)

Congratulations!!!! Excellent skills, excellent plushies!!! So unique, and personal , textile art

Awwww THANK YOU! :D I love making them!

You can thank my husband for the idea of sending pictures of the feathers going in. He suggested it and I thought it was a great idea... My idea was to tuck them into where the heart would be, that seemed special to me. :)

I'm SOOOOOO glad the Cairo plushy was a hit! :D Thank you so much for the kind words!

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
Omygosh these look amazing! How do I order one if I want it of a bird not wild type? Like if I want one of my Alex Bird? Oh, and would you be able to do a budgie with severe splay leg? I think a plushie of Hima would make a PERFECT Christmas gift for Mr. Bug!

Thank you!!

I've actually had some people ask about other kinds of birds, like a dove or pigeon. I can certainly do cockatiels, cockatoos, budgies, no problem. I make them with wire skeleton inside their legs to the legs and feet are pose-able and can grip things, so either by a modification in my creation, or by you simply posing the legs, you would have a splayed leg budgie. :)

Ok, I just placed an order. How should I send you the photos of my fids? :) And I will probably be unable to just make this one order LOL and may place more. The plushies look just *so* adorable!

well, even if feathers aren't "allowed", what is the worse they can do? quarantine them? just kidding, I just pictured a little tuft of feathers sitting in a quarantine cage in customs and got the giggles....I seriously doubt they will do anything. I mean there is goose down and all sorts of weird stuff with feathers.

these are so very cute! I am going to have to get one made of our guys. now if only i could find someone to do custom hamsters....
