On Wednesday, if she's ready, I will be bringing home a 2 1/2 month old Sun Conure named Echo. She's been eating on her own for a little bit, but is still begging to be handfed, so the breeder may keep her a few more days.

I'm really excited! She will be my first companion bird (I have three budgies, but they are not tame). I have been doing a lot of research, which seems to yield more questions than solutions, but I think I'm gaining a pretty good perspective on what it means to be a parrot owner. However, I'm sure no amount of research can totally prepare me for the real thing, so I joined this group in case I have any questions and need to reach out to some 'seasoned' parrot owners.

Thanks for the forum - I look forward to getting to know all of you!
