Hi all.

I’m new here, just signed up a few hours ago. I used to have a lovely lorikeet and a few budgies as a kid. I’m again looking to buy a new parrot once I can decided on what’s right for me… I expect I’ll be posting a lot more once I pick out that perfect little feathered buddy. :)

Hi Cupcake, I also live in Melbourne (near Berwick) Good luck choosing which species to get, there are so many beautiful ones. In another world I would have one or two of everything but in reality, it is not posiible, but there is no law against dreaming, is there? If I am lucky enough to get another one - cos I consider it a privilege to have these guys in our life - it would more than likely be a quaker (2nd choice would be a rainbow lory).

Welcome to the forums. I have also used You Tube to check out the activity level & sound intensity & level & independence of parrots when I was trying to make a decision regarding what type to acquire. I think You Tube is great for that!
