:orange:Hello fellow bird lovers. My name is Tim, and I'm from Cumberland, Maryland. That's in the western part of Maryland. I use to have parakeets as a child, and I've always wanted a bigger bird. I had my hard set on getting a parrotlet, but after I saw the Sun Conure, I knew that was the bird for me. Her name is Sunny, and I've only had her about a week now. We are bonding really well, as I've keeping her with me most of the time when I'm home. I'm a manager at a restaurant, so my hours can be a little hectic. But so far I really think she likes me. She is only 3 months old, so she is still pretty green. She is a quick learner though; I'm potty training her, and the moment she comes out of the cage she poops for me. Don't get me wrong, we've had a few messes, but I think for only a week, she's doing wonderful. I'm taking her to the vet for a checkup next week, and I'm just trying to get a few questions answered; hopefully even here. Well, I guess that's all for now, and hopefully I'll be hearing from a lot of you. Bye.

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you've got a good bird one your hands! (Wish my sennie would be potty trained that easily ;))

Feel free to upload some pictures ;)

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, so far she's pretty good. The only problem is I think she's getting too excited. I let her on my shoulder, and I think she's just playing, but her nipping is starting to hurt. I don't think she's actually trying to bite me, as we're pretty close already. I'll tell you what though, I think the little nips on the neck hurt worse than an actual bite on the finger.

Hi sunny & Tim ,
Was it the big beautifull eyes of the conure or because they have the prettiest colour ! I love the way they sleep on their backs , So cute & very funny birds ...
Good luck hope all goes well .

It was a little of both. But I really like that they almost have a wild side to them. I want a bird that loves to play.

Well you have picked the right bird !
I have seen unreal tricks they can do not to mention just how cuddly they are .
I like the fact that they are not too big but still very hardy little guys & Wow the differant colours they brighten up most days .
Remember to bring her home lots of broccolie spinach as well as cuttelbone as the 3 things will help STOP egg binding the one thing that worries me most !
P.s. I would also offer lots & lots of fruit , vegies , pellets , and some seed .
