Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Today I have become the very proud owner of a Blue Fronted Amazon, Zoey and she is amazing! My daughter has a Green Cheek Conure who is also an amazing little guy.

Unfortunately Zoey has been chewing her feathers at the ends and the colours are very dull. Her wings are also in bad shape, who every clipped them has cut out vertical sections of the wings and not small sections. She also has quite a bad odour, like a sour smell. I am still totally in love with her and we see the avain vet tomorrow. I am sure a change of diet and plenty of love and attention will have her on the road to recovery!

Welcome, and congrats on your amazon... The bad smell might just be that she's in need of a bath/shower...

Thank you for all the nice comments.
Well, the vet trip went well, except for her biting the assistant very hard. I felt so bad for assistant but being a avian and exotic clinic I guess they are used to it (glad it was her and not me. Though I know my time will come.)
Everything was fine with her and the smell is down to lack of baths. I will begin to slowly introduce Harrison's in a couple of weeks. We have a short wait for the blood work results but the vet seem really pleased with her. 7 to 10 days and we will fine out if she really is Zoey, or Joey :D. Will keep you posted!

Thanks again :green:
