Blue nd gold macaw
Hello, my name is connie and I finally acquired my parrot. His name is jake he is a blue nd gold macaw.
Jake has been with me for vone week and one day,he is my pnly birs bit not only pet.
I grew up around parrots amd cared for them bit never ed about their capabilities. The parrots I was around never had much of a life and I always wondered why people bother hving them. I knew they talked they were macaws and cockatoos. The amazons seemed to hve better lives so I was looking for an amazo. When jake came my way. He is affectionate and loving. What do u think of changing a birds name at twenty yrs old. I renamed him as his name was hard to remeber.
I'm also I am also involved in horses, animals, writing and different outdoor activitie. One more question which harness do u recommend.

Congrats on your new B & G. I don't think changing his name would be a problem. Just keep repeating his new name to him. I don't use a harness on Willie as he hates going outside. Good luck!

Apparently a lot of people change bird's names without much problem. I probably had an opportunity to change my amazon's name as he wasn't responding to it, but I thought at 28 years old he had to know his name. So I didn't change it, and now he is responding to it.
