I have two Lovebirds called Daisey and Thunder since last summer.

They are adorable and I do love them a lot.

Daisey is very bossy and will bite if you put your finger in the cage. Thunder is like a real lamb and cool. They fly around and land on my shoulder or head.
Daisey will let me get close to her as long that she does not see my fingers.

I let them fly everyday. They love to walk on my computer while I type or sit watching me on the screen.
I have a lot a plants and trees and they sit on some big sticks and they perch there watching the mountain.

However I have put Daisey on an hormone shot once a month to lower her hormones in order never to have babies and reduce her want in having a family.
She never laid eggs but the minute both find some material they will try to build a nest.
She still has sex with Thunder but not everyday like before.

Sometimes I wonder if I made a mistake to put her on that treatment.
Because now her feathers are getting much darker.
Before she used to pluck her front feathers to make a nest now she doesn't do that anymore but plucks her rear end and the bottom of her back. The feathers do not have a chance to grow back

I take care of them as they were my own kids. They play eat well and take daily bath in their little pool.

If it were not of Daisey back over pruned and here feathers getting darker I would be in paradise.

I got them from a couple who had them for three years. They had never been out of the cage while Daisey never laid any eggs according to them.
When I got them after a while I decided to let them fly.
Now they fly like jets in the air.

I cover certain places of the apartment and block access behind the fridge and the stove and they fly from one place to another to the various toys I have installed.
There are a lot trees and plants in my house and I live facing a mountain. The birds spend their day looking out the panoramic window facing the mountain.
They bathed twice a day and sit in the rays of the sun.
I put them to bet at 7:15 and they sleep till 6:45 the next morning

I think that they are happy birds.

How ever Daisey is a real tomboy and more aggressive compared to the male. She will try to bite to defend him if I get to close to him. Yet at times be can be so nice

Welcome to our flock. It sounds like you have some average, normal Lovebirds. Good for them to fly so much, and bathe so often. Female Lovies are always the more aggressive ones. As for her plucking, hopefully, that will stop, as this springtime hormonal period is over. Plus, the medication she's taken should help. Maybe give them more toys, and things to shred, to divert their attention to something more constructive. "If they don't destroy it, they don't enjoy it."
