Hi
I have just bought a black headed caique, its my first parrot, going to pick her up tomorrow. Thought I would join this forum as I dont want to make any big mistakes. She is a couple of months old and has been hand reared, very friendly and a real sweetie.

I already have a cockateil so have a basic understanding of how to look after them but is there anything I should know or do differently with the caique
any help and advice would be appreciated

Caiques are beautiful birds. I visited with one at a bird store recently. Lets just say that I will never wear the "T" shirt again except for changing the oil or yard work! ;)

Thanks everyone. I picked Zoe up on Saturday and she is lovely, very affectionate and really loud. Her and Pebbles have some very animated conversations. Big diffrence between the two birds, Zoe is very friendly and Pebbles very grumpy, she attacks as soon as you come near but Zoe is pleased to see you.
