Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your community. My name is Pam and my husband is Mario. We are the proud parronts of a Congo African Grey named Charlie and an amazon named JoJo...I am not sure what type of amazon JoJo is although he is not a yellow naped....they are such charmers with completely different personalities....they are upfront in our daily lives and we revolve around them....they just completed their first camping trip to Havasu and were wonderful. My husband and I are both semi retired and spend the biggest part of the day with them.....Charlie is my husbands bird and JoJo is mine.

I will post pics of them as soon as I can figure it out...LOL

Hello and welcome to the forum:)

If you post pics we will be able to tell you what type of Zon you have:)

Here is how to post pics...


When you are creating your post, go into attachments, click on upload from Computer, then browse.. click on the pic you want to show, then click on upload.... or if you have photobucket just hover mouse over the image then left click on IMG and it will say copied, then just paste into your message box, go onto preview post and it will show if it has gone in properly:)

Thank you so much...I posted pics and I think it worked!! My thinking is JoJo is a yellow crowned amazon....I have had him for about 6 mos now...he is a rescue and at first was quite a trial...got bit several times but continued to work with him and allow him to earn my trust...my thought is he was mistreated as he is really afraid of many things....but slowly coming out of his shell.

Give him time, it will take him time to build up his trust in you.
