Hey, Parrot Forums, my name is Harrison and I live just north of Atlanta, Georgia. I don't own a bird of my own just yet but I've wanted one for a while now and I'm very close to getting an Eclectus of my own. I'm saving up by working full time until I get back in school (I'm a manager at Sonic) and I'll be getting my bird's cage Dec 1st. Needless to say I'm VERY excited.
I am new to aviculture but I've loved large birds for years upon years and the opportunity to own one has recently been opened up to me and I couldn't be happier. I'm also and avid reader and thirsty for knowledge about birds so I'm here to learn!
I fell in love with an Eclectus at a local pet store, but he was snatched up before I could even visit him twice. Ever since then, though, I've known exactly what I want my first bird to be! I've communicated several time with some local breeders and have picked out who I'll be buying from and I'm always on the prowl for helpful information about owning a bird for the good of the bird!
So I'm here to find out as much as I can from my experienced peers before, during, and after I purchase my eclectus.
Thanks for your time and consideration!
