hi everyone i just rescued two 5 inch long peachfaced lovebirds from a auction , i,ve awalys loved these birds but never had the chance to own til now . so a little patience and help i will try to be a good dad to them i have called them fred and daphine (after the scoobie doo couple)and first question i have is how do i ,and how long will it take them to begin to trust and not fear me?i am now just trying to talk to them and let them get use to me going into the cage ,changing water and food .starting them off with seed dry friut mix and apples and plums and bean sprouts,also the littler one is molting all around then neck i have only had them this being the fourth day is this norm for little ones or should i be concerned already?....more to come for sure .....lol..til next time ty smellybigtoe(jim):rainbow1:

If you keep a pair of birds (especially the aptly named lovebirds) together they may bond with each other and may not ever care that much for you - though they will likely get used to you and be comfortable around you they may not interact with you all that much.

As far as molting do you mean molting or plucking? Molting is perfectly normal and shouldn't be anything to worry about, but if she is plucking herself bald in areas that's a problem.
