Hi, I just had my new Eclectus shipped to me. One is doing great but the male keeps shivering. It is a slight tremble in his breast feathers. I was wondering if this is normal for bird that have gone through the stress of shipping or is it something I need to look into more. He is eating and drinking but has mostly sat in one place since I put him in his cage 24 hours ago. What should I do? Thanks!

He is probably very very scared. Its normal for birds to feel frightened and even not eat for a day or two in their new home. It will take him some time to feel okay, so just offer him treats, speak softly to him, and give him time. However seeing as he is a new bird, its always best to get a vet check as well.

I agree. A vet check is always in order with any new bird. But, he is probably just scared and will calm down shortly. Don't force him to interact, but, let him get to know you gently.
