Good Morning Everyone, my name is Leah and I am asking for some advise and help. I rescued two Green Amazons Parrots and my female got her foot caught in a towel the other day while I was cleaning the cage and tore her back nail completely off. What do I need to do for her foot and will her nail grow back....I am in a panic for her...:green1:

She tore her claw off because it got caught in a towel? That doesn't sound right, there had to have been something else so, please, take her to an Avian Vet.

Welcome to the forum Leah, and many congrats on your new family members.

I personally would take the hen to an avian vet, just to have her checked out thoroughly. If the entire nail has been ripped out, I'm not so sure that it will regrow - I hope I'm wrong.

As a matter of fact, if those are recent newly acquired birds, I'd have them both checked out by an avian vet. :)
