Crivens - female Indian Ringneck
Hi all,

Not good at introduction thingies but here goes...

I have a four month old female Indian Ringneck, named Crivens. Had her about a month now. She's gorgeous, completely spoiled, and goes everywhere with me with the use of a handmade harness and leash. I tried one of the store bought harnesses and they were useless, so big and bulky. It was so simple making one myself with soft, stretchy, fingerloop-braided yarn and a small cat leash.

Fairly sure Crivens has gone into her bluffing stage, as she's pretty bitey at the moment, started a few days ago. It's mostly when she's in her cage. I'm doing my best to be patient and ignore the (rather painful) bites. Hope it passes soon! She's still quite playful and friendly with me, and even affectionate, so I'm pretty sure it's just the bluffing stage.

She's on the Vetafarm pellet diet, with fresh vegetables and fruit every day, and seeds as treats.

As for me, I'm a 27 y/o Aussie living in Queensland, and I can get a bit bitey too :p

Nelle.

You have chosen a wonderful forum honestly.
So much info and tips, everyone is more than willing to assist.
Crivens sounds so cute and cuddly.....
You have only had her a month, she is still finding her feet. A new environment, cage and a new family. It takes them a while to settle down.
I think adolescence has hit home Lil. sure she is testing you, just like children do.
Sounds like you are spoiling her WE ALL DO.....
Be patient, and you will reap the rewards.
Browse around, you will find many helpful answers and tips.
Keep us posted okay
Take care
