I'm excited to have found a group to learn, talk, and share pics of our newly acquired cockatoo Stoney. We have done a ton of research on cockatoos over the last couple months but cant wait to hear more from everyone here. Stoney came to us the first weekend in May 2014. A coworker was house/pet sitting for her neighbor when she started telling me about the poor cockatoo that lived there. The elderly ladies husband passed away February 2014 and Stoney belonged to the husband. The elderly lady admitted that she didn't like Stoney and was looking for a parrot rescue for her. I told my coworker I would take Stoney. When we got her she had a nearly bare chest but it is nearly grown all back. She is so much happier and we lover to pieces!!!!
