Sun Conure
Hello,

Just a quick introduction, the "KOZKO" family has a new member: Nibbler - a Sun Conure!

We couldn't take it when our Black Masked Lovebird Mötley passed suddenly (1/21/2008 - 4/13/14) - no idea what happened, I woke up, took the cover off the cage and .....

Anyway after a call to the breeder we got Mötley from, they said there were quite a few babies to choose from, but no lovebirds at the time, so we went to look anyway on 4/16/14 and just fell in love with Nibbler and also the coincidence that he/she was hatched on 1/21 just like Mötley! It's sad when you lose a friend, but it's also a joy to make a new one!

Nibbler is so amazing, super cuddly, LOUD, super playful, and so much more!

Absolutely gorgeous! That first picture is unreal!!! I know all your lives will be enriched with Nibbler.

Got any more pics? I love the 'super cuddly' part. Tell us about the 'LOUD' thing? As that is what has stopped me and many others from getting a sun conure :)

Thanks, I will post more pics as soon as I get the hang of posting here as I seem to have done something wrong and the 3 pics I uploaded made it look like I'm almost out of allowable space?

Anyway, Nibbler is quite loud, but so is KOZKO (my last name is Kozlowski and my wife calls our household KOZKO) - I play bass guitar along with the stereo (when he's tired Nibbler will fall asleep whether I'm playing heavy metal or smooth jazz!) at loud volumes, my younger son plays drums (Nibbler is still a little scared of the cymbals if he's in the same room), the TV is always on, etc., but when we are quiet so is he, BUT as long as he's out with us or when we are all sleeping and the house is quiet. What I'm saying is he can be very loud if we are all running around ignoring him. I just throw him up on my shoulder when I'm doing housework or something and he is happy! We have had him for 4 months now and we are used to it! BUT like I said if I sat on the couch to watch TV and left him locked in the cage - I'd go nuts he screeches so much, BUT again he's content and appropriately quiet playing on his "jungle gym" that we leave wherever we are at or just holding/preening/playing with him (he just loves to be preened/scratched) - give him some attention and let him be out and with you and all is well!!!

Nibbler is gorgeous, and so was Mötley..I am so sorry you lost him:(
That is amazing that they were both hatched on the same day, definitely sounds like it was meant to be that Nibbler ended up with you:)

With the album space, it goes by file size, so if your pictures are a large file, they will take up more of your allotted space. I use Photobucket for most of mine:)
Glad you joined us!
