looking for fertile macaw eggs, and learning
Hi i'm jon from ireland we are looking to get our first parrot, we thinking of a Hyacinth macaw of yellow and blue macaw....But we would like to get a fertile egg so we can hand rear, we have had experience in hand rearing as we have done it with our chic's, so here looking for info and learning as much as possible which i think will be easier then actually finding the genuine egg supplier lol............

Welcome to the forums, Jon.

If that is the route you choose to go, I'll wish you luck in your search -- but I'll warn you that macaws are notoriously difficult to hand feed!

IMO chicks should not be removed from their parents until at least a couple weeks old unless the parents can't or won't care for it.

Hello and welcome!
Is there a reason you would like to raise the baby from an egg? I think that it helps the babies so much to be parent reared for awhile:)
