Hello! I am new to this forum and to the world of birds. I'm going to be bringing my green cheek conure, Arya, home in less than two weeks now and I'm super excited but super scared that I am not yet ready.

Her cage is around three times the width of her wingspan and is going to just dwarf her, but we've got tons of hand made toys that are good for climbing, chewing, and food-foraging. I'm making her a sleeping "tent" since I've been told conures like to burrow when they sleep.

My partner and I started clicker training last weekend with her when we went to visit and bond and socialize with the other bird parents there. It was a lot of fun. :)

I totally understand! I was so excited to bring Fiona home, but also terrified. We've had her 3 weeks now and everything is ok. :)

Yea... we're so worried! Especially about food. The place we're getting her from has said that majourity pellets with fruits and vegetables in addition and then seeds as treats is the way to go for diet... but we're having difficulty deciding which pellets. We're so used to there being tons of different cat foods but we've only see like 3 brands of pellets.
