Hello! I am new to this forum and to the world of birds. I'm going to be bringing my green cheek conure, Arya, home in less than two weeks now and I'm super excited but super scared that I am not yet ready.
Her cage is around three times the width of her wingspan and is going to just dwarf her, but we've got tons of hand made toys that are good for climbing, chewing, and food-foraging. I'm making her a sleeping "tent" since I've been told conures like to burrow when they sleep.
My partner and I started clicker training last weekend with her when we went to visit and bond and socialize with the other bird parents there. It was a lot of fun.
