Hi, all. New member here from British Columbia, Canada (as far west as you can go without getting your feet wet).
I've had various parrot species for several years (Lovies, Amazons, a Conure). I have lots of parrot stories & pictures to share - most happy, some sad, some unbearably poignant, but I can't even imagine living without my feathered friends.
I also have lots of other rescue animals, of course (16 total, at last count), as I work in Animal Control and frequently come across unwanted/abandoned pets that no one else will adopt, including birds, lizards, snakes, and dogs. I can't bear the though of the alternative. I don't adopt them - they adopt me...and allow me to share my home with them!
Anyway, I look forward to visiting here often!
