Squonk - Lutino cockatiel
Hi all!

Finally a parrot forum that works and seems to have some knowledgeable people on it! I was starting to fear such a thing was a myth.

Anyhoo... Hi! Am new to the boards (obviously) and need to pick your brains but its rude to do so without saying hi first.

I'm Kay, old enough to know better but young enough to try anyway, I have a lutino cockatiel, male approximately 18 years old, I've had him 17 years and he's my bonkers little man. He's currently trying to learn the Les Miserables soundtrack..... don't ask, that's between him and my mother.
In other news, there's also a couple of black cats - Beanie, who is 17 and currently rather ill and Buster who is a total nut - and a dog - a red staffyy who is also conkers - bouncing about but Squonk, the bird, is definitely in charge.

So yeah, there we go, that's a bit about me and my critters.

Thanks!! The folks here are really nice!
Sadly, Beanie won't be getting better, she has liver and kidney problems, well, failures, but she's still doing well in herself and eating, drinking and enjoying herself as best she can at 18.

Hello and welcome, Kay! Very sorry to hear about Beanie.

Your home sounds like a happy place with your group of furred and feathered kids.

Hi and welcome. I can't wait to see videos of your bird's version of Les Miserables. That sounds worth waiting for. :D

Hello and welcome! I'm glad you joined us and I would love to see pictures of all your babies:)
I am sorry to hear about Beanie, but am glad her quality of life is still good. Squonk is such a great name!

Strudel: It's still early days yet, he's still getting insanely excited about hearing mum trying to whistle Master of the House but he gets a little of it then forgets what he's doing and mixes it with The Great Escape.... I've NO idea where he learnt that. I'll try and get video but he's somewhat shy and shuts up as soon as you point a camera or phone at him. Funny lil fella.

Terry: Hold that thought and I'll dig up some pics.

I don't have many good pics of Squonk as he tends to turn tail on me when I try but these are my fur and feather babies:
